timeless interiors with a current twist …
I have always been drawn to the notion that good things never go out of style. From the iconic little black dress to the perfect chocolate chip cookie, some things easily stand the test of time.
From my perspective, the same goes for interiors. Good design should honor the past while maintaining a fresh perspective. Some may refer to this style as “new traditional,” but I simply call it “currently timeless design.”
a little bit about me …
As a native of New Jersey’s beautiful Two Rivers area, I grew up with a deep appreciation for classic interiors inspired by the sea and the elegant sophistication of the nearby city. My mother’s New England sensibilities and father’s English roots shaped my love for historical styles, travel, and obsession with color.
My career initially took root in New York City. Corporate opportunities in auditing and investor relations provided me with the essential foundation needed to explore more entrepreneurial and creative pursuits.
That opportunity arrived when I joined as Co-Editor and Co-Owner of The Scout Guide Two Rivers. The Scout Guide is a national network of annual luxury city guides that highlight the “best of local.” In conjunction with my business partner, I produced three beautiful city guides .
In an effort to more formally explore my passion for interiors, I studied at the New York School of Interior Design and started Currently Timeless Design in 2019 to provide decorating consultation services. Currently Timeless Design operates out of Chevy Chase, MD but takes on clients both locally and beyond.
I am currently working on projects in:
